Die Applikation Moody von Crayon Room basiert auf der Idee, Musik nach Stimmung farblich zu sortieren. Das Tool greift auf die iTunes-Bibliothek zu - Songs können getaggt nach Stimmungen getaggt werden. Die Software legt automatisch für jeden “Mood” eine Playlist an. Für Mac-User steht zudem eine Datenbank zur Verfügung, die bereits Tags für viele Songs enthält - nützlich wenn man zig tausend Songs in der Bibliothek hat.
“You first tag your iTunes songs in mood according to the Moody colors. Horizontally the mood goes from sad to happy and vertically from calm to intense music (or make up your own system). When your songs are tagged you can play songs not only by a specific album, artist or genre, but also by the mood you’re in.”
